Is Lego Speed Champions The Best Theme?

Speed Champion is basically the series that appeals to anyone and everyone.

The rear assembly of the Pagani Utopia was absolutely genius; taking the traditional Lego car door pieces and using them to capture that distinct Pagani rear end was an inspired touch.

As a collector of 24 speed champions, I can admit the the are addictive

I remember when they first came out when I was younger and my mom took me to Toys R Us to get me the Ford Mustang set. I was (and still am) a car guy, so the theme was like a dream come true.

Speed Champions is amazing on all levels. The sets are beautiful, relatively cheap, easily available. It's super cool that the cars are minifigure scale. Also there are a lot of alt builds on Rebrickable and it's easy to try them because the sets are not long to assemble. It's also sooo much fun to modify oroginal designs. I spent absolute hours tinkering with my Countach, I had to come up with sooo many creative solutions to problems, I had an absolutely blast and I'm super proud with the result! This theme is gold.

Absolutely love the Speed Champions theme. Once I built a few of them I ended up seeking out the lot and now own most of them! Quite pricey to hunt them down, but very happy with the collection.
