Publix vs. Winn-Dixie - Which Florida Based Grocer Do You Prefer?

Are you team Publix or team Winn-Dixie? If you live in the southeastern United States, you've had to grapple with this decision. I tour both stores, located right across the street from one another, and give my thoughts on each brand.

Both Publix and Winn Dixie are my childhood grocery stores so they both mean something different to me. Love them both and I split my shopping between both of them and Walmart as they all range in their inventory for the items I purchase and deals. I’ve had family work at Publix and it was my grandparents favorite grocery store.

Good video! I didn't realize Publix was that much more expensive, vs Walmart. Even Winn Dixie is more expensive, if slightly less bad vs. Publix.

I no longer live in Florida, but most everyone I know mainly shop at Publix for the buy one get one free deals or when they feel like buying a sub or fried chicken. They may go to Winn Dixie for meat and then to Walmart or Aldi for everything else.

You spend more money at Publix but it’s a far more enjoyable experience and far less stress because of the cleanliness and superior customer service. When you go into a Kroger the customer service is poor, lots of out of stocks, and you get the feeling that Kroger doesn’t really care about its customers very much. You feel stressed when you leave Walmart, Winn Dixie, or Kroger. I feel far less stressed when I leave Publix. And that’s really what you’re paying for at Publix. A less stressful environment and experience.

I don't mess with winn Dixie. I only shop at publix. Their staff is more friendly snd knowledgeable. Theor prices are fair. The stores are cleaner and winn dixie is just all around trash.
