In this video, I try to show the full process of how I remove hard water calcium stains from my black granite countertops. You will need to purchase some CLR (calcium lime rust) cleaner and some magic erasers. I also use a small razor blade to scrape some of the calcium scales down a bit to speed up the process.

You da Man, Mr. F.I.N. I started off by buying some paste concoction from Home Depot, tried it twice over the weekend, by spreading it on and covering with Saran wrap and poking holes in it and waiting 24 hours for the paste to dry and IT TOTALLY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING to the fairly massive white-colored hard water spots on my kitchen granite counter top. But after viewing your video, and digging out the Magic Eraser and CLR that I've had for a LONG time, it worked just like you demonstrated. My wife is SO HAPPY she doesn't have to look at that discolored blob ANY LONGER! Thank you, thank you!

Looks like CLR did a great job removing the built-up calcium. But I have a bottle of CLR and the label clearly states, 'DO NOT use on natural stone or marble'. So there's that to consider. Maybe try a little on a small inconspicuous area first - just to be sure.

Wow! This is AMAZING! Our granite is 3 years old and though I've seen sealing the countertops, around our faucet has hard water stains. But I followed your directions and it looks like new! And so I resealed it now to hopefully prevent this again.

I sprayed CLR and did the edges with a blade and the edges started to look new as well. Took an extra treatment. ❤️❤️❤️

The instructions state not on granite. Do you have any explanation?

I don’t get it. A CLR (rust remover for clothes) I used caused a stain on my granite. I had a towel under what I was working on, but some of the CLR spilled on my granite and caused a white haze spot. The spill was only there for maybe 5 minutes. I’m told the CLR etched my granite???

It's looking like it's doing a great job however CLR specifically states it's not to be used on granite, unless it is the kitchen formulation?

I just did this for both my bathroom countertops around the sink. IT WORKS. Thanks! I had to do it twice. It was definitely a mixture of both the magic eraser and some scraping from the razor.

Great video. What do you recommend to clean the faucets to get its lust back?

Me: Okay, I'm with you so far, pour the stuff on, wait like ten minutes or an hour or something, then-
You: And you can see it already working.
Me: Holy sh**, normally I only see stuff clean stains that quickly in fast-motion video, what witchcraft is this?

In other words, it's rare that I'm this impressed by how effective a product is in a cleaning video. Well done.

the bottle of CLR literally says not to use on these types of counters, but ok. You built a house, and can't even read a container?

Worked perfectly thank you!

I'd used all sorts of cleaners but the stuff was stuck on tight. Turns out the trick I was missing was to take a razor blade to it.

Counters looking brand new and its been stained since we moved in 6 months ago!

Is a brass brush bad to use? Especially around the faucet.

All 3 are game changers for tough cleaning jobs. Never thought to use them together. Worked great, but it discolored the blade. Not a problem, but could cause problems with some surfaces. Always test first. Thanks 😊
