I received a shofar for Christmas, and I learned how to play it! It was a little tricky at first, but if you spit like you're playing a trumpet and put it at the edge of your mouth, you can hear the sound. A shofar is a ram's horn used in Jewish festivals, and it will be heard when Jesus comes in the clouds! #Christian #shofar

The Greek word for "trumpet" is salpinx (σάλπιγξ). It was a tube-shaped wind instrument with a flared opening.

Do we make the noise with our mouth? I just bought a ram’s horn shofar. But, it’s so weird, it doesn’t make a noise and I have to literally make the sound w my voice.
