does the rear passenger have any leg clearance issues with these?

Also would they work on a VTX 1800 F that has a 240 fat tire conversion, I cut and widened the rear OEM fender to tuck a 240 tire, but the strut mounts and seat are in the factory locations, so I would presume there shouldn't be an issue.

Lastly can these be painted? or are they leather wrapped? I would love to paint to match the rest of my bike.
