Sincerely am hoping that Metroid Prime 2 gets remastered too. The Varia Suit is great there- the Dark Suit is actually my personal favorite. Lastly the Light Suit certainly holds its place as the most unique.

Fun fact: The Varia suit got it's name from an error in translation.
It was supposed to be called the Barrier suit instead, but due to an error in translation from Japanese to English, we ended up with Varia suit.

Fun fact, you actually just said "What a thing of beauty" when starting the Varia Suit (Prime 1) short; it was the Gravity Suit short the one where you said "Oh what an absolute thing of beauty".

Speaking of the Gravity Suit, I can't wait to see what you think of its design in Metroid Prime Remastered. It probably is gonna melt your eyes in tears of absolute joy since it makes the already great looking Gravity Suit of Prime 1 look even better.

It’s absolutely stunning. Wonderfully designed. And a crime it wasn’t used for the Smash Ultimate game.

It’s ironic how the greatest looking game on the GameCube continues to stay looking great for decades before finally being succeeded by itself.

This is as close to perfection as we're ever getting with the Varia suit. Love everything about it.

Also, the butt (That may have originally just been a result of copying the texture to both halves) randomly being more pronounced is hilarious.

I love this version of the suit but it always bothers me how far her arms are from her torso - like no human could fit their arms in there

Despite it being the most Iconic suit, it's the suit I fell in love with. I never actually saw Samus without this type of suit until Fusion. This suit and Zero Mission suits were all I knew. That is ofcourse until Metroid prime 2 and other Games came out where her suit started going through multiple changes. The only question I had was why her suit always came back to this design. It wasn't until I read the lore and books that I understood why all her suits are the same and just remakes of each other. I took this and brought it to Destiny and now the crossover has started to get recognized. Many players have asked to join Samus and even made similar suits in Destiny. It all started because of this suit.

My fav suit is the PED suit Right before you land on planet Phaze to confront dark samus (once you land the energy flowing in you hides details of the suit hence right before landing there is my fav)

For that bit about the Prime Remastered Varia Suit looking like the Retro Studios Twitter banner concept art. I was looking at the Prime Remastered model viewer the other day and I made the same connection. I'm not sure why it took so long for me to think of it but the fact that you pointed that out a day or two later feels cosmic.

Prime Varia suit is unironically the best suit in the franchise, and the fact that Samus’ Other M suit is the one used in Smash Brothers is a crime.
