One of my favourite songs ever.
The lyrics of "Isobel" tell the story of the title character, as a
reference to "isolation", she was born in a forest by a spark, and by
the time she was a grown-up woman and she found herself in a city, and
she didn't like all the people there so much, because they were a bit
too logic for her. So, she decided to send to all the people, all
these moths that she had trained to go and fly and go inside windows of
people's houses — the ones that were too rational — and remind them to
stop to think too rationally and start to function by their
instincts. They do that by saying "Nah-nah-nan-nah-nah!" to them...and
then they start to think emotionally!
"Isobel" is string-laden, orchestral trip-hop song that combines a lush orchestral sound with electronic breakbeats.
