Ρολόι Ελευσίνας- The Town Clock of Elefsis

Την εποχή που η Ελευσίνα αρχίζει να παίρνει τη μορφή μιας σύγχρονης πόλης, αποφασίζεται η εγκατάσταση ενός ρολογιού στο λόφο του Ελευσινιακού αρχαιολογικού χώρου. Το 1924 πιθανότατα με έρανο των κατοίκων αλλά και με τη δωρεά κάποιου Ελευσινοαμερικανού και με την ενίσχυση του εργοστασίου τσιμέντου, το ρολόι αρχίζει να κτυπά στην πόλη. Μηχανικά στην αρχή και ηλεκτρονικά από το 2000 έως και σήμερα χωρίς να σταματά ούτε στιγμή.

As Elefsis begins to take the form of a modern city, a clock is decided to be installed on the hill of the Elefsinian archaeological site. In 1924, probably by public fundraising, the donation of some Elefsinian - American and the support of the cement factory, the clock begins to beat in the city, mechanically during the first years and electronically since the beginning of 2000, without stopping for a moment until the present day.
