Today Doddy is unboxing the new 2019 mountain bike shoe collection from fizik. For next season fizik's off-road collection features the Vento Overcurve X3 and the Terra X5. Developed alongside professional MTB riders and racers the shoes are designed to deliver the best possible feel and ride without compromising on comfort. What's more, we're giving 5 lucky winners the chance to win the pair of their choice.

The fizik Vento Overcurve is the premium aggressive shoe for those who want ultimate performance. Equally as comfortable racing flat out across difficult terrain as it is on singletrack, gravel and cyclocross epics. Made with an Overcurve construction which wraps around your ankle for a comfortable and natural fit, which works with the shape of your foot. A stiff and lightweight carbon moulded outer sole deliver's power as you supply it. Despite it's lightweight construction, fizik have included toe protection and an efficient tread pattern, which not only adds grip but is designed to shed mud and not interfere with pedal engagement. Finished with a moisture resistant but breathable microtex outer and the premium closure mechanism of a BOA ip1 dial, the fizik Overcurve X3 is built for speed.
fizik's other model for 2019 is the Terra X5, aimed at high performance all terrain use with a focus upon trail riding and endurance. Made from more durable and hardwearing materials than the Overcurve, the Terra X5 utilises much of the same technology, with an asymmetrical design and a carbon composite outer sole for an ergonomic fit whilst remaining stiff and responsive. It features a moulded TPU rubber tread for reliable grip off the bike, but also has the capacity for additional toe studs for extreme conditions. The Terra X5 comes in two options and a variety of colours, the standard microtex model and the premium model with an attractive suede construction. Both are closed by a BOA ip1 dial and velcro strap.
