Speedy Eggbert 2: 100% - No x2 Mode Speedrun (2:48:51)

New run with proper audio and a much more respectable time. I want to knock this down to a sub 2h40m at some point, which I know is absolutely possible, given how badly I butcher a few select splits.

For anyone asking, all Epsitec SA (the people who made Speedy Eggbert / Blupi) games are now free to download at the official page: www.blupi.org .
Also, pretty nice speedrun m8!

Agh, the memories, thanks for uploading this.
The main reason I played this back in the day was probably because my pc was a potato, so it couldn't run any new games.
Still have the CD for Eggbert 2 to this day...

HOLY CRAP! I REMEMBER OWNING THE FIRST ONE WAY BACK IN THE DAY! THIS IS SO BRINGING BACK MEMORIES! Never played the second game but I really enjoyed the game for what it was during it's time. I didn't have internet when I was young so making levels and playing this was my go to thing when I was bored

Me and my sister played this game all the time when we were kids, I haven’t thought of it in years, I had a dream the other night about it and it’s surreal to see all these years later, I couldn’t beat the slime levels to save my life

It was only a matter of time when someone was gonna upload themselves playing the whole game.

That said, I don’t like that some levels are recycled from the first game, and I don’t like some of the empty spaces, I’m considering making a enhanced edit of this game that basically adds more on empty spaces, replace the recycled levels with some original levels or the first games demo levels.

This is so cool to see this game in full again, so much nostalgia. I see you posted the google drive for the game which is so awesome and I can now play again :D you wouldn’t know where I could get the first game as well?

Stuff on this game I never really understood:

Literally any vehicle/mode of transport Eggbert rides or drives EXPLODES in water or on a spring, even a frickin' Skateboard XD

Eggbert does not crack like an Egg if he hits a ceiling too hard
A Wasp sting swell you up like a Balloon and you fly?!
Cheese sounds like a Drum?!
Collecting Treasure Chests allows you to finish the level or your trapped
Hovercrafts do not glide across water; THEY EXPLODE!!
Bulldozers are piloted by Eggbert despite how small they are
Origami Birds, Fish and other creatures explode
Enemies do not get stuck in place when attacked by Glue Missiles, they disintegrate whilst other Eggberts get stuck in place
Certain modes of Transport can phase through Invisible blocks

What's odd about the game music being midi files, is that the music sounds different depending on the computer it's played on. I remember playing the first Speedy Eggbert on three different computers with different hardware. Oddly enough, the older of the three had overall better sounding instruments. Especially on "music 6" with the horn and choir sounds, that one sounds awful on most computers. Not sure what was so special about that one computer I played it on, but the midi instruments it had were really damn good.

Did you know that this game's music was made using Microsoft Music Producer, an automated composer program similar in purpose to the maestro from WarioWare DIY?

I like how they use old roblox sound effects and remix them
