Formation of Central Nervous System (Neurulation)

Early stages of formation of Central Nervous System consit in a thikening of ectoderm layer under the influence of notocord that secrets growth factors. The action of notocord will determine formation of neural plate that is the first stage of development of CNS. Later this neural plate will form a Grove and later a tube from which later will form the main structure like Cerebrum, Small Brain, Brain Stem , Thalamus, Hypothalamus, Spinal cord etc.
