Mulia Residences Cyberjaya Best Housing Architectural Design Award 2019

Exclusive project by EMKAY Group, completing in 2022, the project is a 50-acre development that applies functional design principles to create dwellings that respond to Malaysia’s climate; redefining an established property development model, which appeals to the updated lifestyles and expectations of today’s homeowners.

The design won Best Housing Architectural Design at the 6th annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) in April 2019.. Collaborators working on the development include award-winning architects Arkitek FAA and landscapers Mentari Design.

It's unique feature based on rumah kampung concept incorporate designs to combat heat and humidity. Ventilation is improved with homes raised in a typical kampong style, giving them an attractive semi-detached look. A one-room-thick plan boosts cross-ventilation, maximising air-flow and cooling down spaces. Meanwhile, a north-south orientation to avoid sunset glare, plus large overhang and louvres, minimise the direct heat of the sun.
