This is the ninth in a series of videos that introduce object oriented programming (OOP) using Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET). This video demonstrates how a subclass can override a method it inherits from a superclass. This illustrates one of the fundamental features of object oriented programming, namely polymorphism. You will also see how a subclass can overload a method it has inherited, another example of polymorphism.

Thanks for the video. I was just studying Classes today but they didn't mention anything about Inherits. Your examples are always having what we are looking for. Looking stuff up on the Microsoft website seems to be very tedious and lacking.

Wow, that took me a few hours. I had two VS open and then the Class showed up on my front end VS and things got a little out of whack. But I got back on track. Thank you for clear and concise explanations, else I would have been lost. Time to get back to your other vids. Thanks so much for you....JT
