Okay. 1. Lower temp will do a better job of rendering fat. Less splatter, too. 2. Cook on the tray or on parchment. Allow the rendered fat to help cook the bacon. 3. Place slices on paper towels to drain. 4. Pour that rendered fat into a mason jar, keep in the freezer, spoon out as needed for cooking all kinds of goodies.

I have baked bacon for years. It is my preferred method and the only way i choose to prepare this delicious piece of pork... The drawback is you will have to scrub-clean your oven thoroughly every time you use this method. The fat splatter is immense and plentiful after only a single bake unfortunately... But this is the best route to perfectly cooked bacon heaven, every time. 😉

I have never done this. Wouldn't there be grease splatter all inside your oven? Not to mention smoke?

This is NOT the cleanest way for sure. Maybe easy but not clean. Put a piece of parchment paper down then your bacon then another piece of parchment paper then place that wire rack on top to keep the back flat. Back for 15-20 depending on how thin your bacon is. I mean you will have a cookie sheet or 2 to wash but not an oven or stove top.

Here in the U.K. we have better bacon but we don’t have ovens that get to the temperature in the video!

Doing this made my oven SUPER dirty and grease got everywhere.
Also, floppy bacon is gross? Should probably focus more on cooking and less on shaming preferences 👍🏻
