5'8 goalkeeper here playing for Amateur/Semi-Pro level. Your height is indeed a big advantage but it's not always the main reason for being an effective goalie, I have seen many tall goalkeepers (non pro) who doesn't make any effort to dive, or play outside the box, this is one of the reasons my current and previous coaches choose me over the taller ones we had.
