The Pilgrim's Progress, by John Bunyan, is one of the most famous and influential works of English literature. Since its first publication in 1678, it has never been out of print and is reported to have sold more copies than any other book except for the Bible. But who was the man behind this great work? This documentary reveals the story of John Bunyan's life, his personal struggles, his triumphs, and his remarkable legacy. The uneducated son of a tinker, Bunyan survived the horrific English Civil War only to be jailed during an era of great religious persecution. From his jail cell Bunyan wrote his great allegory of the Christian life. Fifty one years ago as a child of ten my father introduced me to two books that outside of the Bible would impact my life. One was "Streams in the desert" and the other "Pilgrim's progress". He always pointed me in the right direction, Jesus Christ.

The son of a tinker with not much education wrote such a historic book because Holy Spirit wanted him to. I love that!♥️

What a wonderful legacy from a man who lived for Christ. I pray his writings continue to draw many more souls for God's Kingdom as the Day of the LORD draws nigh.

I first read the Christian Pilgrim thirty years ago as a teenager in the college.
It was a living story in my memory and has remained so that l introduced it to my Children.
God bless the Brethren that distributed it for us in Jesus mighty name.

I have found Bunions writings for the first time at the end of last year when this was posted, ironically. I had heard of him, but never knew anything about him other than he wrote religious stories. His writings are truly a strength of simplicity, to which all may understand. Praise the Lord and his servant Bunion. Amen

John Bunyan, Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George McDonald. These are the men I look up to the most. Im a woman and yet I feel a sort of kinship with these brave men who spoke truth through storytelling. I hope to carry on that legacy through my works and be a storyteller for Christ and Christ alone. May it be God's will. ❤

I b elieve I've read all the works of Bunyan available, and the Pilgrims Progress maybe 50 times, I'm reading it now, AND STILL FINDING NEW THINGS to meditate on, O, that our planet had many Bunyans doing our Lords' bidding.

My parents read Pilgrim’s Progress to myself and siblings when we were young. When I first visited the UK in 2008 I visited the JB museum and church. It made such an impression; was wonderful seeing Bedford again in this film.

Thank you for this inspiring documentary. I picked up John Bunyan's 'The Pilgrims Progress' from my old college library about 35 years ago in India. Amazing book!

England is such a beautiful country. So many God fearing men have been born out of this country, John Wesley, John Bunyon, William Tyndale are examples of true soldiers of Christ. Thanks be to God.

The truths I know best I have learned on my knees. I never know a thing well 'til it is burned into my heart by prayer. John Bunyan

The Greatest Man in History...
He had no servants, yet they called him master,
He had no degree, yet they called him teacher,
He had no medicines, yet they called him healer,
He had no army, yet Kings feared him,
He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world,
He did not live in a castle, yet they called him Lord,
He ruled no nations yet, they called him King,
He committed no crime, yet they crucified him,
He was buried in a tomb, yet he lives today,
He is Yeshua HaMashiac, Christ our Messiah 👑
King of the World, Jew and Gentile alike...
God bless all his faithful servants, who have
suffered for his names sake, for their reward awaits...

Thank you Vision Video for all the good Christian movies. Blessed are we to watch it, it brings us closer to Christ. It gives us an insight into the sacrifice made by men of God, their deep faith in His word. These films shape our character in Christ. 👍👍
