At the Open days of Chr. van den Heuvel Carriage builders in Valkenswaard, november 2015, stood this wonderful newbuilt friesian chaise as an exhibition piece.
It took 6 years and over 1500 hours to design and make the undercarriage, restore the original late 18th century chaise body etc. for Mr. Mouthaan.
The original harness was made new by Van Rijs in Zevenhuizen.

They say that seeing is believing, but it is so hard to imagine the existence of such a chaise, and I was confused about your saying it was newbuilt.   Do you mean restored?  Did they make a series of photographs of its original vs. restored condition?  I tried searching, but could find nothing.  Thank you for your painstaking filming of all the details.  And to see those seahorses on the undercarriage, and the painting...surely it was unique to begin with.  Can you post a link to any articles about it?
