I was pleasantly surprised my cat likes the fish and shrimp fancy feast meal. For occasional variety and a cheap low carb meal. Definitely a good one to add water to with a little stir.

One of my cats is apparently absorbing calories from the ether. Two cats, one is 9 lb. one is 15 lb. They share one 3 oz can in the morning, and one 3 oz in the evening. I switch up their food (typically Wellness or Fancy Feast) but total possible calories is around 120 (~60 from each can). According to the cans' feeding instructions & the weight calculator, the bigger cat should have almost 3 cans all to herself in order to loose weight; she is currently getting perhaps a little over 1 can, collectively, a day. (She will sneak leftovers from the other's bowl but she isn't aggressive and definitely isn't getting all of it.) I'm confused.

They hunt treats out of puzzles, etc. regularly but the treats are maybe 2 calories a pop and they don't have ready access to them.

We have 2 kittens who want to eat 4x a day. Our 2 yr old domestic shorthair has put on weight. We can't feed them and not her. So this comes in at the right time. She is fed 3 wet meals and one dry meal. Thought I was doing well giving her smaller portions, but the scales don't lie. 😐

I find that most weight loss foods for cats are chicken based. My boy is sensitive to chicken so this journey is very difficult to find a food for my chubby boy.

Please try and review cost effectiveness and for multi cat home. Wet food is not possible when your on a budget and have multiple cats. A more realistic approach is appreciated.

I love your videos Mallory! So happy I found your channel. We took in a shelter cat in Dec.2020. She was so overweight after being spayed and eating only Kirkland dry chicken and rice. The fat content is 20%. She was free feeding for 8 months after being rescued. I have her on 200 kcal per day. She has lost weight initially but has stalled at 11.4 lbs. Vet says she should be between 9 and 10 lbs. i give her 1/2 can of wet food (authority) and close to 1/4 cup dry, Wellness Core mixed with I and Love and You.
She is very picky and won’t eat the higher end cat food. If I cut her food anymore she acts like she is starving. Any suggestions?
