This sound brings back so many memories! Saw were absolute musical geniuses. Their sound is so unique and uplifting. They got so much stick. In reality they wrote and produced probably the most polished well structured pop music known to man. Their songs just flowed and felt effortless and they made it look so easy and that's always a definite indication of talent. The stats speak for themselves however because of the musical snobbery and vile bitterness thrown at them by the British music industry and the British press few people are aware of their achievements. Mike stock is listed in the guiness world records as the world's most successful song writer and producer and no one has yet stolen his frowning . Their iconic record label PWL is still Britain's most successful independent record label and they are the only people in history to win the ivor novello award for the song writer of the year award 3 years in a row. These 3 me single handidly took on the powerful British music industry and won. They were feared and every attempt was made to squash and destroy them but every one failed and the huge labels at the time such as Sony and rca were made to review their own processes. SAW came from nowhere and were able to write, produce and release their work in the most efficient and economical way in history and they sold them in their millions and by the truck load in every corner of the world. The big record labels process was lengthy and expensive having to go through many layers before any release dates

A really nice video of Kylie thanking Stock Aitken Waterman would have been cute. She gets a message to be at the studio, rushes there and throughout the video we see quick rear head shots of Mike Matt & Pete and when she opens the door at the end, they turn around and smile. 😉

Back in 1990, as a dj, it was, as I considered, the height of some of the greatest dance music released worldwide. Italy had Mark Farina, 49ers, Capella...The USA had their one hit wonders, but...The UK had S.A.W. and Kylie led the pack with some of the most exciting tracks ever to hit the dance floor. In America, 'the sound of S.A.W.' hit us in fits and starts. In the UK, it was constant. Kylie never achieved the stardom or track record in America that she holds throughout the remainder of the world, but some of us, who adores the S.A.W. sound, and Kylies voice, will be pleased by this brilliant version of her latest single, and again, have faith that one day, she could commission a full album by the dynamic trio, who at one point in history, had at least one song either written by, or produced by them in the Top 40 for 3 consecutive years. A feat that will never be duplicated...Come S.A.W., produce a full album by Kylie...I think it's time.
