My friends over at Wotancraft just added two new bags to their award-winning Pilot camera bag series. The new Pilot 2L and 3.5L bags are for those who don't want to carry too much gear, just the essentials. In this video, I do an overhead view and show what you can fit inside both bags. Wotancraft is also upgrading the hardware of the existing Pilot series, so go to their website to check out the 20L backpack and 7L and 10L sling bags in both colourways. This is my first look so let me play with these bags for a couple of weeks and I'll let you know how they work out. Let me know if you have any questions.

In this video I showcase both the Wotancraft Lightning Rider and Pilot 20L backpack:

In this video I review the Pilot 7L:

The update you’ve all been waiting for: YES, the 2L bag holds a Leica M10 with a compact M lens & hood, as well as a Ricoh GRiii in a leather GC-9 case (padded divider between the two) PERFECTLY

Thank you for your video. Few people have reviewed these two sizes of bags, and your video has helped me a lot. Thank you.

I am thinking about the 2L to start out with. I typically walk in some city/urban areas with just an M3 and maybe one extra tiny lens. When going in a store or coffee shop I want my hands free so want the smallest bag I can tuck the camera in and not have it dangling on a neck strap. I tend to walk and shoot with just a wrist strap mostly so really need a big pocket or small bag to tuck the camera in when doing other tasks. The bigger 7L looks like a nice setup when out with a film SLR and 2 or 3 lenses or maybe a pair of M bodies and a few lenses.

I much prefer my smaller bags these days for my Fuji gear, keeping the accessories to a minimum so the 3.5L looks a nice size for the X-E + F2 lenses, phone + Topo micro pouches for money & spare batteries etc.

I have the 10L since months and I love it, the Pilot serie is for me the best daily & photo bag, perfect with my MBP14, a Fuji camera, 3 lenses and even a zoom and there is still room. The pockets in front, behind and on the sides are great too. But I admit that the 3.5L makes me really want when I just want to take my camera and 2 lenses. Pilot bag are definitely great and really do beautiful and light.

That 3.5L seems like it might be perfect for the XH2 and maybe even an iPad for on the go editing/work setup 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Excellent video. I just purchased the 2L version, after debating between the 2 and 3.5. It should comfortably hold my Fuji X-T1 and 23mm f2 lense. It's a pity Wotancraft discontinued the Trooper series of bags as they are awesome. I have the Trooper M and it's the best camera bag I have ever owned.

Thanks so much for these super-helpful vids! I'm about to send in my Wotancraft order, very excited. Also have a question - is the leather lens pouch available somewhere? I think it say Street Pro Kits? Cheers

I love the strap you use for your Leica M!!! Could you please tell me which one is it, the orange/white one? Thank you so much

the 3.5L probably fits well with my xe4 with a pancake lens or zoom lens, plus a compact camera/other accessories!
2L seems bit limited, better fit as an extra sling rather than the only bag u carry out for a whole day

I want a little bag for just the Mamiya 7 + 80mm. you think it will fit on it's side in there like you do put the 2L, but in the 3.5L?

I bought the 7l a few months ago. although I love it, it still happens to be too big for what I need it for. I find myself wishing it was a bit smaller. pretty excited about these.

I'm really disappointed that these don't have MOLLE on the back. I could definitely see myself getting the 2L and attaching it to my 10L if that were an option.

Cool bags. Great design. The lighting is a tiny bit too dim; difficult to clearly see inside those bags.

Are you going to doing a full review of the Pilot 20L Backpack at some point?

I'd like to see something in-between the two. Maybe a 2.75L?

Good looking bags... Do you think the 3.5L could possibly fit 2 Leica M240's with a small Zeiss 50/2and Voigtlander 35/1.4 mounted? Are the bags available yet? I'm not seeing them on the site. Thanks
