I remember once we laughed at China's engine... Too much smokey and IR signature..but they enhanced and developed a better Version.. so we should learn from that and funds for kaveri engine is must. Once we got our engine, we can achieve other things.

This is so huge opportunity for any company to miss. Considering the state of economy in many countries, they will offer ToT

1. Gripen clearly mentioned that they are ready to setup complete ecosystem in India
2. LM is ready to move complete F16 production line to india
3. Eurofighter is ready to setup complete manufacturing in India including ToT

We do have options. With these offers, even Dasault will be tempted. They are refusing because it is their biggest seller and there will be strong opposition from unions.

Those who keep proposing RD33 engine know nothing about military aviation. They are educated in whatsapp university. Firstly rd33 was not designed for single-engined aircraft. Jf 17 with rd 93 is a juggad meant for poor countries. Secondly Tejas airframe cannot accomodate rd33 dimensions.

F404 will always be delayed and expected. It's a strategy by USA to delay the program further so that India will be forced to buy more aircrafts from other countries or got to US to buy their aircrafts. India should focus and invest more on developing own engine.

Wonderful decision on MRFA. We cannot spend 20 - 25 billion without getting anything back. Government is right for following reasons.

1. It will help in protecting availability incase of supply chain disruptions. No one can threaten us with sanctions.
2. It will build complete ecosystem which inturn will provide skills for future programs.
