E channel for the win on this track... Sounded cleaner and had that airy top end while the G brought the vocal more up front and emphasized more of the throat tones / voice grit ... I use the G on drums and E on everything else, but I might have to try that E on drums too !

Loved the video editing at the end.
“And there we go”

To me, the differences in the midrange can be heard but the reason they're subtle (in this video) is because the HMF settings on the G-channel are somewhat tamed.

Listening on cellphone speaker: the E channel top end sounded so pretty and open. But I love the guts on the G.

0:40 "I urinate in my hair"? Sorry it's off topic but I kept listening to see what she was really singing but that seems to be what she is really singing!

It is interesting, to me.
I prefer the E-Channel on the voice alone, but I prefer the G-Channel on the entire mix.

I don't think anyone seems to realize but if you look at the settings he has between the e channel and the g channel, they are not matched

Love the Waves G and E channels, use them extensively on all my songs.

I think both are a winner to have, I have them too and I love them...G on drums indeed...:)

On small, Bluetooth speakers, the G totally wins; it balances out some of the tinny-ness. E sounds more lively on a good system because of that high-freq excitement.

Even though settings aren't the same, the low mid in G is quite thick and the E has 2.3K ish bite .
I was doing a female vocal and the E was pretty intense in the upper mids, went for the G .

G had slightly more sub, E had slightly more clarity. Preferred E for this song.

G to me distorts quicker than the E does. If I want to drive something, I’ll use the G to get some dirt on it.

E brighter mid and highs, tighter, wider, more distant
G Thicker, More Upfront, bouncier bass and mid

Me: “G-channel sounds so much better!”

Also me: “Wait a minute the G-channel is just louder, dammit Maserati…”

I find myself reaching for the g channel more often, personally…my rationalization being that I tend to bring in channel strips for sources that want some energy and movement. An acoustic guitar that sounds GREAT is gonna get pro q and maybe some low ratio/high threshold compression. But an overhead bus whose energy I’m trying to melt with a 76’d room mic…that’s a g channel job, imo. You’ll get your normal processing with that funny, ssl syrup that’s tough to describe.

Both are excellent but from my own experience, the G Channel brings the vox forward a little more than the E Channel, which is smoother to me. Both have their strengths and I use them both accordingly..

Not a fan of that type of music. BUT, that mix sounds so good I’m looking it up now!

The E-Channel seemed a little more focused in the mids and on the high end, but the G-Channel seemed a little more punchy with the lows.

I got the E-Channel when Waves was having their special last year, but I haven't really gotten the chance to dig into it yet.
