Howdy Partners!

I was lucky enough to take a trip to Barcelona to test ride the latest 125ccs from Yamaha.

On the trip, I got to sample the R125 and the MT125.

This video focuses on the R125 and the many features it has!!

I hope you enjoy it!

The old 2-stroke Aprilia RS125 was an animal. When derestricted delivered around 33bhp. That’s got to hold the crown.

Ms Kate you are getting really good at these reviews. 👍🏼 I have zero interest about this type of bike, yet I’ll always watch your channel. To be honest I never knew a major manufacturer would put forth such a capable machine for this purpose. Well done.

You're getting so polished on your reviews and first rides Kate! The bike looks very cool and bigger than a 125. Gorgeous scenery; makes me want to move there, haha.

Kate, great review. Love the fact that 'you're giving her all she's got' and a glance at the speedo shows 100kmh. I'm sure this would be a great bike for new riders seeking a manageable ride with sport styling and some sport abilities.

Those 125s in Europe are so sharp! The only 125s we get in Canada are the toys ie Groms, Monkeys, etc.

Learners are spoilt rotten, lovely bike. We had RD125 twin in the early 80's.

I've just done 200 miles on my 2015 r125. Gets to 85 and will cruise happily at 80. A great little bike that is still holding its value

That was one big go-cart track.
Glad your having a lot of fun test ridding the smaller bikes.
Dave Moss has done a little tuning on the Kawasaki 400 RR and I hope you get to ride one.
Take care and enjoy the sun shine Kate.

i used to ride an R15, and it was incredible! The power and feel was just gorgeous as a first bike, so approachable and so zippy, and I'm still left wondering whether I really needed something bigger- 144km/h out of a 155cc engine?? just such an impressive little machine ☺️

Sounds like my old TZR125 I had in the 1990’s. I loved that bike.

Thanks Kate, that ride looked great fun. How can a 125 look and go so good? I almost wish I was 17 again (I wish I was 17 again lol) Keep putting out your great content and ride safe. :>)

Fab video Kate. I must agree with you that the R125 looks bigger than it is. I had a MT125, and people used to say the same about that.
Stay safe out there & keep up your great work. 😎🏍💨👍

That's really good BHP for a 4 stroke 125 - my first bike was a 2-stroke DT125R & that made about 14bhp, so, for a 4 stroke to be making that with the same CC, that's doing very well indeed.

Love it that you ride and love smaller cc bikes! I am older so now prefer smaller cc!

Brilliant work as usual Kate!!! Great attention to detail. As a 2020 R3 owner that i daily ride here in the states, I really appreciate that our European counterparts view these small displacement machines as serious utilitarian tools rather than little toys to be played with on weekends. These bikes are cheap to run and they get you to work in a zippy fashion. We Americans need to take some pages out of the European playbook when it comes to this sort of stuff if we are to survive these current times. Cheers!!! 😉
