Polish Australian, Cezary Skubiszewski will analyse the transformative role of music in film and the process of writing and orchestrating music to pictures. This session will emphasise a practical approach to composing for screen, focusing on skills and critical self-reflection along with historical aesthetic, and narrative considerations. Cezary wil present selected music scores and arrangements from many of the films he has composed for including: TWO HANDS, DEATH DEFYING ACTS, BLESSED, RED DOG, NIGHT, THE SAPPHIRES, THE SOUND OF ONE HAND CLAPPING and THE BROKEN SHORE
