Judging yardage is basic woodsmanship. No one needs that or a range finder unless you're shooting a rifle long range.

I have all the areas marked off before hand so I know how far to shoot. It's easier and way cheaper.

I don’t get it??? So many hunters bought into spending unnecessary expensive garbage
where they can do it without. Just spend your time having fun practicing with your equipment n you’d enjoy your time more than slaving your way away to come up with the cash for those junk. Long bow n recurve hunters have been harvesting venison for thousands of years n none of them need garbage at all. Use the money to buy your family Christmas gifts or take them out for a movie n they appreciate you more.

Well all I got to say is that if you compound boys need all that stuff to kill a deer with a bow. Just get a gun. This stuff makes a lazy hunter that don’t want to get out and shoot his bow before season enough to learn. We never used range finders but we did know how to shoot a bow and judge distance. Besides them training wheel bows shoot so flat why would you need to be dead accurate with yardage. If your within 5 to 10 yds on guessing, you would still hit the spot within and inch. Damn you got 13 inch kill zone. I take more pride in a stick bow and kill plenty.
