Home Alone 2 is a rehash, but everything rehashed is done in a more fun way than the original, whether it’s the location, the traps, or the characters. Also, Tim Curry single-handedly makes the best middle act of a Home Alone film. Home Alone 2 easily my favorite

Personally I love home alone 2 the most, something about that New York setting and the small heartfelt stories with the side characters and the classic hotel scenes with Kevin toying with the employees, one of the best Christmas movies ever

Home Alone 1 and 2 are just timeless classics. They’re so memorable, so hillarious, pretty damn emotional and so timeless. They’ll never age, they’ll still continue to be amazing 30 years later.

Is it just me or does it feel like Home Sweet Home Alone is like the original movie, but without John Huges good writing, John Williams great score, and the likable main character.

Not gonna lie, I did appreciate the rimshot when poking fun at Scarlet Johannsson being in Home Alone 3. Also, love him or hate him Trump did own the Plaza hotel at that time, so his cameo does make a bit of sense.

I liked them all. The bad ones are guilty pleasures. The first two is the best. Home Sweet Home Alone while it has good moments it's a disneyfied version of Home Alone.

I could not agree more! The first one is so timeless, so original and so heartfelt with a fantastic cast and some of John Williams' best work. However I have to say I prefer the 2nd one because of the hotel scenes which probably has a little to do with my childhood obsession with hotels in general. But anyway nonetheless the first two are both an A+ for me!

Home Alone 2 is actually my favourite. It takes everything from the original and makes it bigger and better. The location (New York), the side events and characters (the toy store, the pigeon lady, the hotel and it's staff), and obviously the final battle at the house, with the traps being bigger and better than before. Everything is just a step up for me, so that's why it's my favourite.

For me home alone 1 and 2 are extremely close for me. I enjoy the third act of 2 more, but I liked the family dynamic in 1 more.

I've only seen the first 4. The first two are holiday classics, I've always thought Home Alone 3 was very underrated, loved it as a kid and 4 was very bad.
