So, I was the first to buy this Sarto Frame from James and the Custom Lake CX403 shoes in the Vid :)... Having Previously Owned a S-Works, Trek Domane and a Cervelo R5, I can say this Frame is better and feels smooth on the road. In terms of Wheels, I have a set of Enve's and more recently bought some winter wheels, Campagnolo Shamals and I have put 32 Bontrager Tubeless R3. This is a great pairing too. Re: the comment. Need v Want. Did I need the Lake CX403 custom . Probably not, but I wanted them and I have to say they are best bikes shoes have I have ever owned + James fitted me with The G8 insole. I have now done 5500KMs on the Sarto Seta +, so my advice, Go and get Fit :)

to put it into perspective £7.5k more than a brand new Dacia Sandero! If people have the cash to burn and shops have them to sell, then fair play. Life is so much easier and nicer when you don't care what other people have or can afford.

I am fortunate enough to own a Sarto with DA but really spend more time riding my All City (with steel forks too) and Ultegra. One thing to keep in mind is that when you put “custom” and “Italian” in to the same sentence the quality control can be a bit trying at times!

Since no one in the comments can fathom who buys these, I’ll give myself as an example.

I ride a bike very similar to this (from another custom italian brand). Cycling is the only hobby I have, I make decent money, nothing outrageous, but I’m not extravagant in other areas of my life. My car is actually less valuable than my bike. 😂

We all have our “thing” bikes just happen to be mine. I’ve built every bike I’ve owned except my first, and enjoy all the cleaning and maintenance and keeping things in perfect shape. I know that a less expensive bike would be just as fast, but all the techy details add another layer of enjoyment for me, as does knowing I have a bike that was made from the ground up for me and my physiology.

With that said, I’ve never just walked into a bike shop and plopped down all that money. I’ve always moved stuff (Wheels, Groupset, etc) from one bike to the next, and sold stuff as I no longer use it.

So, I’m not a dentist, I’d actually consider myself fairly average.
