@VocalAntagonist The classic trilogy were special fan-made DVDs, sourced from the "bonus features" that you speak of but with a full surround audio track and an anamorphic up-rez. So a bit better, but nowhere near Bluray quality. We were sorely disappointed that the original editions were not included in the new Bluray set.

I wish I had friends to hang out with but I don't i am starting a Star Wars marathon this Friday by my self I might add the animated one in it not sure but I might :) I am going to have fun :)

The pilot for the series was theatrically released in 2008. The show started soon after that.

I never thought about this particular viewing order but I really like it.  Makes perfect sense for me.  I do think episode 3 could work on it's own as a flashback if you're looking to save time, but I'd watch all of them.

Very interesting viewing sequence. I had to visit that link you provided in order to read up on it. I must admit, it sound like I really cool way to watch the saga. I am curious though. In order to watch the unaltered original trilogy, did you have to pull out the old VCR/Laserdisc player or did you have to settle for the unpolished "bonus features" offered on the 2006 DVD releases?
