He just stands there with his hands in his pockets while a milky way of a thousand unicorns explodes in our minds. I don't know how he found that choir, but I do know it's a match made in heaven. Tremendous!

The Aeolians of Oakwood University (my Alma mater) won a world choir competition a couple of years years ago. They are famous for singing this type of complex harmony. No average choir could handle Jacob Collier. ❤

I actually prefer to watch Jacob's videos with your reactions. They're so pure, and it's clear how much the musicality resonates with you. Thank you, John.

We've all been so wowed by all of Jacob's abilities, his singing, his multi-instrument virtuosity, his Logic Pro knowledge/skills, all the genres he visits, the emotional content, his skills as a producer... this video shows his composing and arranging without Jacob performing. Another layer of the Jacob experience.

That build up of more and more tension until that sweet final release in the end is just pure bliss...

John, i have to say, i have been watching these for the first time with you because you put exactly what I am feeling into words. I grew up singing, my grandpa plays the piano he loves jazz, he was also in a quartet in his younger years. My dad plays the guitar and sings. All of my aunts sing, and one of them plays the cello and violin. All of my siblings are talented musically, i dabble with the piano guitar and clarinet, so I'd like to think i have an ear for great music. This kid has just blown me away, im absolutely moved, and it brings me so much joy that this kind of music composition and arrangements are being created in my time. I hear him, and it's almost like traveling in time in a way. His sound feels fresh while simultaneously feeling ancient. I love that he truly plays and creates with what feels good. it's the end result that feels perfect and real, and he just breathes music.
I appreciate seeing your reactions very much, i hadn't even heard of you before today, but i now definitely want to read your book and listen to your podcast. Im excited to have found both you and jacob 😊 thank you again for allowing us to see your true initial emotions. It's wonderful. Thank you.

I am literally sobbing....the singers, yes, extraordinary. And Jacob, how is it possible? "Until we meet again....goodbye". I believe he is here for a while (a long while, let us hope) to bless us with his music...but also kind of like a healer, too.. Wonderful reaction. Thank you.

That low bass entrance at around 7:47 gives me goosebumps, the contrast with the high flying sopranos is incredible. Thank you for reacting so purely!

I cannot lie. As a singer myself, hearing the climactic end when the the choir resolved the final chord brought a lump in my throat and a tear to my eye.

I was told Jacob wrote and arranged it on a flight from Europe to the USA. True and amazing.

The emotional reaction you had at the end there was exactly what I experienced. Just overcome and overwhelmed by the beauty and WALL of sound.
