Founded in 1916, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) is 109-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut. Its mission is to provide access to quality, compassionate, and affordable healthcare to patients in Northwestern Connecticut.

To enhance safety and help monitor critical areas in its hospitals, CHH began a multi-phase upgrade of its legacy surveillance system. Along with installing over 100 Avigilon cameras with self-learning video analytics, CHH deployed Avigilon Appearance Search technology for the accurate detection of people and vehicles. By upgrading its system, CHH is better able to detect, verify and respond to potential security events across the hospital’s premises.
