Those boards are not structural at all there’s there to close it off! The only structural wall is the one in the back that the stringers are attached to

I love this. I have over 15 years of experience in construction and yes there are things that I would have done differently but that comes with experience. I am tired of the elitism and gatekeeping that people have in the industry. This man just built himself and incredible and functional workspace and thats the point. He had a problem, he sought out his own solutions and did it with his own two hands. I applaud you and don't let my own comment of 15 years or anybody elses comment on how long they've been doing this for sway you in any way... I know people with more experience than even myself who could not do the job you just did. Cheers and looking forward to your other builds :)

The ergonomics of this tiny office makes my back ache, and my neck tense up.

This whole video is the reason that we have the saying "measure twice, cut once". lol

The difference between a novice and expert woodworker is the ability to make your mistakes unrecognizable. Great build. Looking forward to the next one.

The algorithm just served this video up for me and I’m glad it did. The professional, slick, “goes-as-planned”, builder videos are nice and I like watching those as well, but watching the learning process is giving me the courage to get after my own projects as well. Best of luck to you and yours.

To improve the soundproofing of that office, I think you should put some weather stripping around the door. Gaps = sound coming through.

Man, i never watched Team Edge, and generally it's not my content, so i don't know you and the others, but i watch your first video here, where you made the shop and explain everything about your life, and you hook me up. Your voice, how genuine you are and the content you make, how you edit the video and everything take me immediately, at a point where one hour of video feel like 10 minutes, in a good way, i could have watched another 1 hour straight without fatigue or being bored. Good luck with your content.

Hey man! I dont know if you'll ever see this, but one of the best ways to start with projects like these is a 3D construction application! You can measure the angles and sizes to mimic the space you need, and work from there! If you do it beforehand most of the angles will be pre-measured by the program and you can just reference that when you need to!

You just flat out telling him what it was by accident was hilarious. That full reveal is truly amazing, great job!

I love that at the end he shows that there is still an issue he didn't think of. He's got no way of closing the door from the inside! Fantastic video!

I loved the honesty and humility in your video. Not many people would be willing to show all their mistakes in their video. It did stress me out a bit seeing how many times you had to revise something especially when it came to the corner of your door but it also inspired me a lot. I've been wanting to get into woodworking and this only added to it. Great video! Definitely subscribed!

I will never understand why parents today try to be quiet when baby sleeping....trust me you don't want to do that. Make as much noise as you need to. Baby will get used to it and when they are older they will sleep thru anything. I ran vacuum cleaned house showered listen to ACDC my son is 35 yrs old and sleeps thru a tornado

Re did all of my grandma's plumbing a month or so back. Even though I wrote out everything I would need down before starting to go to Home Depot 12 times, it got to a point that all the staff recognized me and would ask how the project was going. Having to go to the store a lot isn't always a bad thing as long as in the end you're happy and the project is how you wanted it. Keep up the good work, man!

23:26 yeah, don't use AI for maths, at least the triangle stuff. It's surprisingly a very common thing you need to figure out, so knowing to do it yourself is great. I spent 2 hours trying to teach chat gpt Pythagoras theory so I could just input numbers and it'd work it out for me, but no dice. So yeah, just learn how to do it, and get a calculator and a notepad...
