As an Irishman born and bred, this video makes my heart swell. The land of a thousand welcomes isn't just a catchy tourist nickname. It's Ireland at its core. The man who took in the Ukrainian family has an earth-shatteringly beautiful heart. To recognize one’s immense privilege and then act with it to aid others is such an amazing thing. It breaks my heart to think of that beautiful girl - who wouldn’t take a $2 bill - sheltering in a bunker away from bombs. No one deserves that. I hope Yes Theory considers aiding that family and other Ukrainians with the money made from this video. As said in the video, “We don’t realize how good we truly have it.”
