Not going to lie, I didn't see the beauty initially because I'm so in love with the old stuff. But the truth is, Barely Blue has grown on me tremendously and I'll be damned if I can't say that it's my favorite album so far. Brilliant stuff. The next evolution. Beautiful harmonies.

As much as I would’ve loved a longer album, I’m glad that you were able to make something that speaks so well to your musical journey and where you are right now. Sonic Ranch is my favorite album from y'all, and I had no idea y'all had gone back to record Barely Blue. It makes sense now and I have had Barely Blue on repeat since its release! Well done again! I can't wait to see what else y'all have in store

I cannot agree more, I would even add that all your albums achieve that effect, your music is incredibly well-crafted. I NEVER cared about lyrics, until I heard Midland's lyrics. I found myself resonating so much with the stories portrayed in the music. It sounds cliche saying this, your music has gotten me through difficult times and shaped a portion of my life, sounds cliche, but it's true. I just reached .03% of top listeners for you on Youtube music, saw you in Iowa (i'm tequila shot guy) can't wait to see you again soon! Keep up the great work!

early this past summer, i took a closer look @ midland's discography—only knew of drinkin' problem prior to that—and fell in love with it!! from this new album, “barely blue” has musical aspects that remind me a lot of a song i was obsessed with in my early teenage years, so by default, i fell in love with it immediately as well🥹 I'm so excited and cant wait to hear it live at the end of next month!

Got to go to the first stop of the Barely Blue tour. Band had family in the audience. Really small venue. Super cool vibe, great show. Band did a handful of covers of other famous songs, when they did "Plush" by STP I could tell a lot of the audience wasn't familiar, but I loved it.
