Just another thing for big pharm to cash on. Gender-affirming surgeries ranged from $6, 927 for orchiectomy to $45, 080 for vaginoplasty and $63, 432 for phalloplasty (Table 2.3). As vaginoplasty and phalloplasty were frequently multi-episode procedures, the total average cost of these procedures per person was $53, 645 and $133, 911.

I agree. Let kids be kids, and when they’re grown up and they still want to change their sex let them but only after they go threw therapy and have an understanding how the hormones and surgery’s will effect them psychologically and physically. And to make sure they have the money set aside to help themselves out in case of an unforeseen event. If we don’t let people vote, drink, adopt other children or get married(in some states you can get married at 12 years old with parental consent) before they become 18/21 why would we let them change their sex? It’s just ludicrous to me, to do such a permanent/damaging thing to your body.

From how I see it, and I could be wrong but if the child wants to identify as a separate gender, they don’t need hormones like testosterone or estrogen, but those hormones can be taken to make them feel more like the gender they identify as. For example, if a female takes testosterone, it can trigger changes in their body, such as promoting the growth of body hair, deepening their voice, etc… If the parents are forcing a child to take hormones, that is something completely separate from wanting to identify as another gender. Also, I think that what confuses a lot of people about hormones and swapping genders is the confusion of gender and biological sex. It is physically impossible for a person to completely change sex, but for gender it’s different. Gender is a spectrum, which means that there are infinite genders, some yet to be used, and when people call themselves a certain gender that they could’ve made up out of the blue, it can understandably make people uncomfortable and confused. You don’t have to give a child hormones if they want to be a different gender, but it can make them feel for like that gender. And normally, the parents aren’t forcing the child to take the hormones, but instead the child chooses to and the parents allow them.

That is an an absolute disgrace, their squeamishness and indignation about chosen pronouns has it's comic element because it's so stupid, but allowing a child who is still learning to write like they even know what a gender identity is criminal, I don't think you can say you're misgendered when you haven't reached puberty,
I sincerely hope it goes to the UN charter of human rights to protect children

YEP HOW ABOUT EVERY SURGERY = 95% of sexual, physical feeling is GONE FOREVER and NOT REVERSIBLE! ( actually more than 95 percent) and Major physical pain, for a VERY LONG TIME...

Why do you need steroids and pecker pills? These are gender affirming health care. They act in a way that makes up for a deficit or broken mechanism. Instead of the dishonest question rogaine asked, he might use his massive platform to ask a more serious question: What is the cause of kids being born the wrong gender? Is it the food? Is it side-effects from drugs? Which drugs would likely cause your kids to be born the wrong gender? Like, maybe if you've been taking steroids before having kids? If it is broken, then why is nobody interested in fixing it? Pettifogging an already complex and unclear issue isn't a good look.
