Topkapi Palace - The Golden Road

This is the most important corridor in the Harem at Topkapi Palace. It is said the Sultan tipped his servants with gold coins here. Thus the name. I visited the first part of March 2020 at 9am just before the worldwide COVID19 outbreak. It was shoulder season and I think the Syrian unrest left it empty before the outbreak. I had it all to myself.
