I farmed dirt for 10 hours.

After making the mistake of crafting a wrong piece of spark gear, I set out on my journey to find a spark amongst the dirt in Dragonflight. This was 10 hours of looking for treasures farmed with warmode on at mostly dead server times.

Do you guys think we should be able to recycle spark of ingenuity gear? At this point in the patch I think we should be able to do what we want with sparks and recycle them as we please, not sure if it is an oversight from blizz or if they like restricting us for crafted gear.

The 30 minute rares apparently have the "best" chance for spark drops. There are WAs for the spawns :)

Heard from multiple people that Blizz made an unoffical hotfix few weeks ago on dirts and chests. I got one spark from a dirt when they made it random drop from like 8 dirts or so, then none for a week farming dirts and chests. So I stopped farming em and only do super rares (every 30 mins) and rares from top left of Azure Span, Cobalt Assembly, Ohnari Plains top left, Obisian Citadel rares and the storming rares. Seems like best chance.

If I read Wowhead right, dirt doesn't drop bottled essence, but expedition scout packs and magic chests can (presumably). The 3 I've managed to get so far all came from rare mobs spawns though. Also, I would absolutely not waste 2 weeks worth of vault on one.

I have looted a spark a week from various content on main Kalcifur-Eldre'thalas, you can see basically half my gear is crafted, have two pieces that I'm not using anymore due to embellishment restrictions.

All I've done while playing dragonflight is M+ (~8 per week), Heroic raid clear, mythic prog (3/8 now) and killing rare mobs. Just hunt the rare clusters in Azure Span (Brackenhide and Imbu) and Ohnara (Nokhudon hold), you'll see one roughly every 60 rare kills. Takes about 2 minutes to kill a rare for me as a tank so for a dps it should be 45ish seconds, easy.

Ive had 3 essences drop in lfr over 2 weeks for 3 chars. Might be dumb luck tho idk.

I tried rares (30 min ones) 10+ spawns per day for over a week. 2 weeks of full clearing the raid on normal and heroic with a few mythic bosses. Then did 30+ m+ got it on week 3 end of heroic raz. The drop rate on them is pretty lame.

If im not mistaken you can get sparks from dungeon drops right? how rare is that?

Why are people farming sparks? Since they went farmable, I’ve found 3 just raiding and doing m+. I have no use for them though. What are people still needing them for?

You can get them from the coin vendor btw

I just killed one rare in Tyrhold and got an extra spark, also from Terros mythic I got one aswell. So 7 sparks for me right now, I think killing rares is a better way to farm sparks.

As someone said in the comments do Rares, the 30 min spawn one. There a WA that helps you to track them and it has a timer. So far i dropped 4 bottles = 4 sparks but i did almost the full rotation of rares for like a week

@pumptastic i farm super rares about 10 a day + clearing LFR +Normal raid + few mythic+ keys (about 3-5) weekly and clear Full Mythic dungeon once a week and I get around 2 Sparks per week that best u can do.. sorry but wasting 2 weeks worth of tokens on this is highly not recommended unless u are full build and fully socketed. Gl =) I farmed so far over 16 sparks

Massive nerfs for dirt I think, didn't get any from those but got 6 sparks for my characters (3 on main, 2, and 1 on alts) farming 30 min rares, brackenhide, and obsidian citadel rares daily. Only gotten 1 from m+, running like 25 dungeons a week.

You should also Taken the Raremobs all 30 minutes, the chance there is pretty okayish

Did it for 30 hours and got 1 spark. Got 2 sparks in 50 rare kills. Rare kills win.
