I'm so glad you're putting things like this out--subtle or not. I wish it had been around when I was a kid, back in the days when Sophie B. Hawkins released "Damn, I wish I was Your Lover, " and people were up in arms over the line, "I sat on a mountainside with peace of mind

Makin' love to her with visions Clear..." I'm so glad that it's possible to put out music that reflects how you really feel, and who you really love, and people embrace it.

I love love love this song, especially for these lyrics. It reminded me of hearing AFI's Love Like Winter which did the same thing - switching pronouns in various iterations of the chorus. I was in high school when that song came out, and I clung to that glimmer of affirmation!
