Wow
I don’t leave comments usually, just “consumes” the videos…I don’t know whether this vid is going to burst out or not, but Tyler B is cool. It is very nice to watch him, he has good voice, good articulation, it was really interesting to listen to him…the only question I am asking myself - why I don’t know anything about Tyler B yet.
Great video❤

This reminds me of the ultimate study method video but it’s helping with breaking it down in more simple terms

I forget to do this sometimes. Thanks! Another variation is to add something to your study that's unique to your life. Like a road sign with the name of a childhood pet, "Cocoa Road" or "Patches Avenue, " or you could use the name of a loved one, or a real place you like. Or a little white cat in the grass if you had one, or a "WANTED" poster, but it's a picture of your brother or your best friend, or a cryptic remark written on a wall, like "Mind the chompers." Or a really really old soda ad poster, as though it's from a world gone by.

Thanks TylerB for the hot tip! I think it's easy to forget that referencing isn't copying, especially when you're on a time crunch. This looks like a great exercise to try out our referencing muscle ✌️

I've done close to 200 master studies since last year, and those were more or less, direct copies, and it did help me improve but I'll definitely try this approach too. Sometimes I like the colors in a painting but the composition or the subject matter isn't interesting to me, so I could study the color from one painting and the composition from another...

This was an awesome video! I do some of these techniques when working on concept pieces for TV and it was really refreshing to see someone elses take on it.

This was really informative! I like to do studies of people & environments using references, but I’ve never really copied directly from it. Thank you for sharing this tip! It’s really helpful ☺️
