Lol I remember the first game I decide to test for my new pc was watchdogs and the screen was going crazy I thought I just wasted a shit ton of money for nothing to then find out that watchdogs had a bunch of weird cut scenes where I look like someone is hacking you or screen tear.

@Circuits Anonymous has nothing to do with V-sync but I'm interested to know what mic/recording set-up you use. Your audio sounds so clean.

It is not true that you can resolve the problem by lowering your fps. If anything it will only make the tearing more noticeable, because you will be able to look at the faulty frame for a longer time. The underlying problem is that the frame-buffer feeds the monitor frames out of sync. This can happen at any refresh rate, both higher and lower than your monitors refresh rate. The statement at 1:07 is false.

If i have my fps uncapped my game looks very teary and ugly and i have 130 - 200 fps, when i cap it to 75 or 74 or anything it even more teary, if i have it to vsync a lot of input lag and i can’t play with that since i’m a competitive player with not a very good pc if i have capped and vsync it’s less input lag bug still a lot of input lag i have free sync which i can’t use becuase i have a nvidia graphics card and free sync dosent do anything, i really need some help.

Quick question i use single channel memory 16g ddr4 3000mhz and i experience quite a significant amount of screen tearing on fortnite. I try play without v sync because it increases input delay and thats not what i want.
Another thing to note is i only experience tearing on fortnite, all my other games seem to be fine. I also play on a 60hz monitor, but i dont know if this is the issue because i have friends who play on a 60hz monitor and they dont experience any tearing.
Thats why im wondering if they could be an issue with my system, my specs are as followed:
CPU - I59400f
Motherboard - H310M PRO VDH PLUS
GPU - 1660 SUPER
PSU - 450W
RAM - 1x 16g DDR4 3000mhz
Edit: I Have a 2tb hdd and a 240gb ssd

OK so my 4K HDR Tv has a tru motion option that makes everythinf at 60 fps, and I played on my base ps4, upscaled 4k with 60 fps, AHH dream for such an old console. And I know that in most games it's 30 fps, but TVs mode wants 60 fps, is that why I get tearing? Although the experience is prettyyyy smoooth

Interesting material but what if i have a Benq 120 hz monitor connected to Dvi 120 HZ and a 60 hz TV connected via Hdmi G-force 1060 6gb Msi
Terring appears only in movies, YT, Twitch etc is there any way to fix it, in games it i fix but in Video unfortunately not ??
The latest, older drivers do nothing, Adaptive options, etc. too (maybe at least the tearing stripes are either higher or lower :\

And I have duplicate screens set in the options, on Win7 the problem is annoying on Win 10 the problem is minimal, zero hmm
