Dennis Klatt gave Stephen Hawking a voice in 1987, 5 years before it would have been available. Over 300 recording clips of Dennis Klatt made the voice of Stephen Hawking. Dennis Klatt knew that Stephen had a short life so he did it in record time. Stephen Hawking was thankful and gave Dennis a letter and an invitation to invite him. Dennis died and over the years people asked Stephen if he wanted a more natural sounding voice but, he always refused saying "Thank you, no, my late friend Dennis is my voice"
