4 things about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that surprised me 🐸 #disneyworld

Disney World just released the first POV video of the new Princess and the Frog ride. It’s our best look yet at the amazing animatronics and incredible new scenes.

But there are 5 things that are pretty surprising about the new ride. From what’s new to what’s missing, I break down what I wasn’t expecting about Imagineering’s reimagining of Splash Mountain.

Well Ray died and it’s assumed the shadow man died too… so if you say it’s like a sequel, why would they be there?

I think it’s kinda a missed opportunity to have “are ya ready” playing as your climbing the lift hill before the drop

You know what’s funny? Even though Ray is missing (which makes sense bc he’s dead) you can STILL hear him singing “Going Down the Bayou”. So take that as you will, maybe it’s his spirit or his twin brother that we forgot about

The problem is that they weren’t replaced with anyone notable.

Facilier could have been in the ride, maybe as a returning threat in a spirit form or something. He’s the most iconic character, so even if you had to fudge it, it’d be good to put him in.

Ray could have had a cameo as a voice from the stars or in a refrain in a song as a nod. Anything more than nothing.

I do wish they have a chance to bring the shadow man back. Maybe a Halloween themed event (like Jack Skellington in The Haunted Mansion) where shadow man comes back as a vengeful voodoo spirit?

What’s missing from the riding is a coherent story and tension for the big splash.

Disney taking out the river boat is dumb. They should've incorporated it as an homage to Splash Mountain, plus it's a perfect fit for New Orleans considering the Mississippi goes straight THROUGH New Orleans! 😡
