I must disagree with your “dustbin of history” comment. Socialist behaviours are an essential part of every modern society. Different governments and societies have “hidden” it in different ways, but it was never in a dustbin, so Id argue it’s impossible to put it back there.

Ya, but that means you will have to raise the taxes on the ultra wealthy. And many of them would rather see the country burn than pay 5% more taxes. Even though this is very dumb short term thinking, cuz if the economy has a major collapse it will take many of them with it. Once again, we are being told that the solution to socialism is, more socialism. I guess all paths necessarily lead to socialism.

It appears that our host is looking forward to his slice of the free pie. He will take his handout filled with the virtues of believing he is fighting socialism. I guess one has to wonder just what people should be expected to pay for themselves any more.

There are better, fairer ways to diffuse the escalating costs of housing etc. Handouts aren't amongst them.
