Please, not this much drama. Apart from marketing language, which you can't take seriously anyway, I don't think any serious person or manufacturer ever said they've modelled the hardware exactly and it does the same thing 100%. But it is close enough, and since I would imagine you're not willing to pay for everyone's hardware wishes, close enough means good enough for many people - definitely a big step up in sound from the stock plugins of any DAW. So cheer up ;)

Reality is essentially digital. On the basic level of reality, all information is quantized and moves in discrete, self-contained units of information. From a philosophical perspective, all information has to be quantized in order for it to be discrete and distinguishable from other forms of matter. So, there really is no difference between analog and digital from a philosophical point of view. The only difference is the resolution. The real world just exist in a much finer resolution.
