Thank you so so much omg I thought that I had to throw the control or buy a new light. Your video really makes my day! For those who doesn't have the machine pen to stick the spring to the board, I have a solution for you: use a thin piece of transparent tape to keep the spring in place. My circuit is not exactly the same as the instructor's, but luckily I found a place to insert it in, which connects the battery and a solder pad.

Thank you for this video! I cut and applied a tiny strip of electrical tape over the bottom of the metal piece to keep it in place.

@0:25 i only found out mine fell out too (i previously dropped the controller, maybe thats when it dropped inside) when i tried to dismantle the controller like you did. But i have no idea how to fix it back? How did you do it???
