ATEM POWER 300W Solar Blanket Test review

This solar blanket panel is nicely made & puts out enough amps but no where near the 300W rating. I tested it in my camper trailer through a CTEK DC DC charger & also through a victron to an AGM battery with similar results.

I picked one up last week. I measured 8.6A with my multimeter. Will do some more testing in ideal conditions and report back 👍

Thanks for sharing.... I was looking into one of these but I've just given up.

Atem power is absolute garbage like most of the solar panels/blankets sold for the 4x4 camping area and they put huge prices on them too..solar blankets are definitely not the best option if you rely on solar they should only be used to help a main glass panel fixed to vehicle if need be...I can say hardkorr 200w blanket does perform to its advertised rating but like every other panel heat will effect the output...best thing would be buying a victron mppt and a 2nd hand house panel and it will out perform anything else..I have 315w on the roof of the car and even when the sun just peaks over the horizon its already starting to put power in..it sits on 300w most the day if battery isn't full already

After further testing in full sun on a highly discharged battery i saw up to 9amp charge. That's a lot better.

Yeah, not many amps. With my 300w folding solar panel suitcase, I typically get 12-18 amps. Sometimes over 20, but depends on the day and location.

Does the blanket still charges if part of the panels are on shaded area?
