In 8th grade the greatest teacher I have ever had made me interested in a subject I thought I hated; algebra. He opened my eyes to what good teaching can do, and how bad some other teaching can be. Lets just say his class was the only one I got an A in.

its amazing what teachers can do with students when schools use school funds for critical thinking activities and not just paper/pencil/textbooks

Great example of how to teach students how to think independently 🤩

Well played springfield! The only 2nd role i would definitly want the teacher to make is a very brief format of a lesson video, 'CLEAR' and easy that you should present and interact along with it's representation.Trust me this would save huge amont of time but have a good representation, try to show in the same time a LIFERELATED IMPORTANT idea.A BIG non-dogmatic cultural idea ofc.remember :The real base of our knowledge and developpement is "Doubt"! Good luck on your journey!☺

This is an awesome engagement activity, but I'm wondering what a classroom like this looks like when getting into the real difficult stuff. How do you take kids from the wondery of bugs to some rigorous argumentation and modeling?

It's seems promising, but this class has a few students so based on my opinion only I would say that this just would work in a scenario like on the video: few students on class.

How would manage a class with more than 30 students like in Brazil? And I'm not even considering the social problems

Using magnets schools as examples is not very useful as they are not reflective of regular school environments or student bodies.
