The problem is that is exactly the way the foreign office and MI5 would act - no correlation of the evidence, just accept the words of the Chinese without a thought - it's in the UKs best interests because there's a deal to be had!!

Watched the show today and found it neither good nor bad. Not sure if the plot of this show will go down well to American audiences (after watching the climax).

Just watched it. I give it 2/5 ...derivative (Hijack), predictable and very unrealistic. You really have to ask your inner critic to leave the room. It isn't that the plot is absurd, it's that the plot is delivered in a sequence of absurd events that would never unfold in a million years.

Garbage. Don't waste your time. Any show that starts out with the ideal that the U.K. government would immediately believe the Chinese government over their own sovereign citizen should be lambasted. I stopped it at 18 minutes in. Hollywood, and the British version of it is absolutely woke and pathetic.
