Sole F80 Treadmill Review - New & Updated For 2023

The Sole F80 is a powerful running treadmill with a 22” by 60” running deck. The 3.5 horsepower motor is great for daily use by a walker or runner. The F80 has a maximum speed of 12 mph, and 15 levels of incline. The running deck is firm, creating an outdoor, road-like underfoot feel. This running treadmill is a great option for runners preparing for a road race.

The Sole F80 does not require a subscription to a training service and has free training programs available on its console. There are third-party apps that may require their own subscription, but it is likely that you already have a subscription to at least one of the apps. There’s Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Max, Prime, and Disney Plus. Other entertainment apps include CNN, Spotify, and Audible. If you don’t have a subscription, the YouTube app provides limitless video content options.

The Sole F80 has all of the standard features you want to find on a treadmill console and then some. It has cup holders, and a tablet rack. There’s also a wireless charging pad, Bluetooth speakers, and screen mirroring for iPhones. For the Garmin obsessed runner, the Sole F80 pairs to your Garmin watch to make heart rate training easier. The mix of low-tech and high-tech features is really nice. Sole left nothing out.

The Sole F80 is a folding treadmill with a soft lowering mechanism. The treadmill is also equipped with four transport wheels, so you can push it instead of tilting it to relocate it. It is a heavy treadmill, so we suggest having a designated space to keep it for the long term.

The Sole F80 has a steel frame, which is covered by a lifetime warranty. The motor is also covered by a lifetime warranty. The deck and console feel really solid and a high maximum user weight capacity of 350 lbs further proves its sturdiness.

Thanks for the great review! Do you have experience from shorter runners using the F80? My wife is 5' 4" and some websites say the console might be a bit far out for shorter runners however do not specify at what height it could pose a real issue while running. Thanks.

My F80 will arrive on the 17th. I see an app in playstore. The APP will not download on my desktop. Do I need the treadmill first? I do have WiFi, not sure how that will work. Since my WiFi is through Spectrum, can I watch TV on the F80? PS: LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!

What does “incline level” mean? Is there an industry standard or does it vary by manufacturer? I’m sure “incline level” is not the same as “incline percentage”

In any case in all your reviews it would be very helpful to know what the max incline percentage is in all these treadmills.

I recently bought and returned an xterra treadmill. It advertised it had 15 incline levels, but that only was a 5% incline as measured by a leveler.

Please include this info in your reviews. I can’t find much of this info on any manufacturer.

Hi! You mentioned that the Sole F80 connects to a Garmin watch. Does it also connect to an Apple Watch? Thanks ☺️

Is the Polar H10 heart monitor compatible?

Why is Sole so stubborn when it comes to preset 6 & 8 mph button selection. If you use the 2-3-4 mph buttons, you are probably walking and can more easily use the 0.1 increments button. Suggestion, add the 6 and 8 mph even if you can’t figure out how to do it without sacrificing some other selection

The only thing I don't like about the F80 is the switch to turn everything on is located in a weird odd place why not have it on the front console instead of at the very bottom in the middle. I have to climb down to my knees and reach over the motor cover to get to it each time. I wish it was on the arm or console.

Do you know by any chances how to calibrate this machine? The procedure in my owner's manual isn't working. I've been looking all over the Internet and haven't found the answer. Could you be my savior?
