Poor Daredevil went from dealing with thieves to getting shot through windows by Sentinals.

I kind of dislike how passive they made Cap in the show. But it's something the comics do, too. They obviously can't have the Avengers swoop in to save the X-Men in their own stories - but this absence is treated by later writers as some sort of proof of their bigotry. It's an unfair characterization.

People dont know that in one of the first avenger vs xmen event Magneto tried to scout Cap mind with a device to find if he had any negative view on mutants and found nothing, this even let Magneto ashamed of himself and made him surrender to Cap

Captain America is the apex of the morality, a true image to the concept of hero, so dont try to frame him as something that he never was just to justify your narrative

To be fair the Captain seems to be working for the government and not for himself or the Avengers, this may change with the time.

Ehhh I don’t think Cap was being racist here just forced to be passive. If we’re going by that logic then Iron Man and T’Chaka are just as guilty. Iron Man literally said nothing while being in the same room and you know Wakanda has the technology to get to Asteroid M in minutes. Since it’s mainly a X men story the other characters have to be passive

I’m just happy to see Daredevil. He needs his own animated series.

Captain america isn’t racist. His absence towards mutants is a plothole create by x-men writers who need to purposefully mischaracterize him to have an actual working plot lol

Sometimes it seems that writers will certainly write about how the Avengers never come to help mutants, but they won’t ever write about the Avengers actually helping.

What’s very interesting is that King T’Chakka is still alive in this show, which means T’Challa hasn’t taken the throne yet.

Cap looks like he's about to tear up because of what's going to happen next. He was never racist towards anyone or mutants.

He's not racist. If anything Cap is the one who regularly backs up the mutants. He fought alongside Logan in WW2!

The simple fact is this is X-MEN '97 not Captain America '97.

This has been an issue with this shared Marvel universe since its inception, why do most of the world hate the X-Men and Spider-Man, yet cheer for the Avengers and Fantastic Four? Why when events like Genosha and Operation Zero Tolerance happen only the X-Men and other mutants show up? Or why when Galactic is hungry its just Reed and family to answer the call? The answer is the writers. It comes back to these writers either not being allowed to or just don’t care to include these other Marvel heroes unto these huge scale stories, and when they include them its to prop up and make their heroes look better.
