I have to say, as a Bible lover I do appreciate the ESV study Bible very much. I have a large number of study Bibles but the collection was not complete without the ESV study Bible. We are so blessed to be living in a time and a place where we can have the freedom and opportunity to use God's Word.

Ok ok ok… you talked me into it. I already had two other study bibles because I like the insight and details they provide. But after watching your video I went to my local Christian store and picked up one of these study bibles. They just so happened to be 50% so how could I pass that up. I’m older so I bought the large print version and the only drawback is the all the maps (except for the ones in the back) and pictures are black and white. Your enthusiasm and description is right on the money! This study bible has much information and background that I am spending hours just going through it before I even get to the text of the Bible. It is now my go to study bible after church and when I’m reading verses. I can not thank you enough for you review and if anyone is thinking about this study bible, think no more. It’s worth it!

Good and inspirational Review of the ESV Study Bible. I have it, and I plan to study from it this year (2025). I have had it since 2021. This Study Bible definitely cannot be read fast if you plan to gain any true study from it. Thanks for this Review! ❤

Dr. Dan---I sure wish you'd whip up some enthusiasm for this study Bible. LOL! You made me laugh frequently over your joy over this study Bible. I think that I will purchase the NLT study Bible first because it majors in on translation of the text and various aspects of that issue. I have the CSB study Bible and use it as my "daily driver". I love the translation and like all of the notes and word studies, though there are some places where the notes are stating the obvious and don't always contribute to the text. Otherwise it is at this point and time my favorite. I also own the Cultural Backgrounds, Zondervan NIV Study Bible, Archeology Study Bible, NKJV Evidence Study Bible, The NASB Founders Bible (which you should get and review). Keep up the great ENTHUSIASTIC work. It is all much enjoyed. Yer Hillbilly brother in NE TN.

A fun, highly irreverent review. I, too, am 100% sold on this Bible. I have the large print version which I affectionately call my seminary in a suitcase. The only problem I have with the ESVSB is that the notes, charts, tables, illustrations and articles are so engaging that it might lead to a neglect of Scripture. I wish I had gotten the dark brown cowhide edition reviewed beautifully by Bible Believing Christian. Thank you! MikeinMinnesota

NIV STUDY BIBLE, WAS THE BIBLEZILLA BIBLE IN 1990s

The still picture on the left gives a much better representation of the Bible than flipping through it with your other hand but is THE Outstanding Study Bible of our generation. The voluminous in text maps are especially helpful. MikeInMinnesota

I did have the ESV Journaling and Study versions, but once I researched the CSB, I gave those away. Now I have CSB Notetaking and Study versions which I feel are most accurate, if one can call any version taken from King James' version which modified scripture in the original Geneva Bible. Believers need to do their own research, as we are held accountable for this on our personal Judgment Day.

Nice review, thanks. I lean towards the Catholic faith theology but use this study bible as the Catholics have nothing as well designed as this which is truly regretable.

Text is too small everything else is excellent can gain nothing if you cant read it needs 12point font at least
